The Art of Infusion

There is a certain magic that happens when creativity meets flavour — when simple ingredients become sensory experiences, and everyday moments transform into rituals of joy.

Infusion isn’t just an ingredient — it’s an experience. It turns simple recipes into rituals.
It elevates ordinary treats into little acts of self-care. And best of all, it invites you to play.

The Essence of Infused Bliss

Infusion is more than adding an ingredient — it’s about blending balance, flavour, and harmony. Whether CBD or THC, these plant-based elements pair beautifully with creamy textures, rich chocolate tones, and tropical fruits.

To help you craft your own wonders, here are the guiding principles of infused alchemy:

🌿 CBD vs THC in Edibles — Key Temperature & Stability Notes 🌿

Both CBD and THC are cannabinoids, meaning they come from the same family of compounds found in the cannabis plant.
They behave similarly in food, but there are a few subtle — yet important — differences when you’re preparing desserts or drinks.

Heat Sensitivity – Low Heat, High Bliss

Both CBD and THC degrade when exposed to prolonged high heat — typically above 70°C (about 160°F). Cannabinoids prefer calm, gentle environments. Infused powders (CBD or THC) stay potent in chilled or room-temperature recipes.

  • THC: Begins to lose potency if heated too long or too high. However, moderate heat (between 105–115°C) is what originally activates THC (via decarboxylation). Once it’s already infused, you don’t want to expose it to that kind of heat again — because it can start to break down into less active forms.

  • CBD: Doesn’t need activation and also starts to break down with high heat.

So yes — cold is fine.
If your infused product is already properly prepared, refrigeration or freezing won’t hurt either compound.
You can safely mix it into cold desserts, jellies, ice creams, or chilled drinks.

🚫 Avoid: Baking, boiling, or simmering the infusion for long periods after it’s added — that’s when you start losing potency or balance.

Fat Content = Better Absorption

Fat is your friend when it comes to Infused Recipes. Both CBD and THC are fat-soluble, meaning they bind beautifully to butter, cream, chocolate, or nut oils. That’s why ice creams, mousses, chocolate layers are perfect mediums. They not only taste heavenly, but also help ensure the cannabinoids stay evenly distributed and more bioavailable (absorbed effectively when eaten).

Chill to Perfection

Freezing or refrigeration does not harm the cannabinoids. In fact, cold storage helps preserve their freshness and prevents oxidation. Cold desserts like puddings, ice creams, jellies preserve flavour, potency and texture.

Just remember to:

  • Store desserts in airtight containers away from direct light (UV can degrade cannabinoids).

  • Avoid frequent thaw/refreeze cycles, which may affect texture and consistency (not potency, just the creamy texture).

Dosing Awareness

When creating infused desserts — especially with THC — consistency is key:

  • Always start by mixing your infusion evenly into a fat-based ingredient (butter, cream, melted chocolate) before blending it into a larger batch.

  • Label portions clearly if shared (even among adults) so everyone knows what’s infused.

Let flavours inspire you.

Think in textures.

Crunchy cookies, silky creams, frozen cubes, warm drizzles…
The magic is in the contrast.

Start with small amounts.

Especially for infused recipes that will be shared.
Flavour is abundant — infusion should be gentle, calming, and enjoyable.

Create moments, not just recipes.

Your kitchen becomes a studio of sweet alchemy.
Your creations become memories.
